my school, but I don't go to their gym, I go to Gold's off campus. There are 2 gyms, one for regular students and one for student athletes. The athletes get a state of the art weight room and the regular gym only has smith machines, no squat rack, benchs, nothing. Only machines and endless rows of cardio equipment

Guys I'm lifting before going to my university gym in September. I have a pair of 25 pound dumbbells and a 50 pound barbell and I can lift them both easily but I'm nervous about going for the first time.

Because of this I'm wondering if I can squat my girlfriend? I squatted her the other night as a joke and done it easily, she is 100 pounds. Any tips on how to talk her into it?

Howdy, welcome to Aggieland, Aggie bro.

The student recreation center just had over a years worth of renovations done to it and it's MUCH improved and very nice. Probably one of the best in the entire country.

Problem is, there are too many fucking people that attend this school, and all of the people in the Corps of Cadets work out there as well. Mainly full of Cardio bunnies and Curlbros.

Student Rec Center is nice. but only really if you want to meet girls, workout during weird hours, or live on campus.

I believe there are two Gold's Gyms now. The one I go to is like 6 blocks northeast of campus on Texas Avenue. Most people here are generally more serious about weightlifting than your average Rec Center kid. The dudes are stronger, women hotter, and these people generally have less autism than the Rec Center kids.

The problem with my Gold's is it is a little small, so if you go during the typical 6-8AM or 4-7pm window most people do it will be rather crowded simply because it isn't a huge place.

The other Gold's I believe is much newer, located in southwest College Station, and less known about ... but I haven't made a trip over there yet.

9 times out of 10 I choose the Gold's on Texas Ave, but even then I still occasionally hit the Rec Center to workout with my friends.

If you have a Gold's membership, stick with Gold's, but youll be paying Student Rec center fees anyway so dont be afraid to go once in awhile.

Hope this helps, you choose a hell of a university. You'll love it here.

I don't know what city you live in, but I have been to the US, and I'd say Manchester could probably be compared to Pittsburgh in terms of quality? Not massive but not small either. Yes there's homeless people but it's not nearly on the same level as the US. Have you been to Europe before? Think Rotterdam or Milan that's roughly the "level" of the city.

It's a post industrial place, some run down areas but overall it's alright. If you lived all your life in some lush suburbs in Massachusetts you could be in for a shock, but if you're used to cities between 1-3mil people in the US east coast it will probably more of the same for you, possibly safer. Oh and there's muslims, that's a fact of life anywhere in the UK or northern Europe unfortunately.

IM East is a piece of shit. IM West was far away from me when I lived in East Neighborhood. Had to go to powerhouse gym instead on hagadorn. It was a pain canceling my monthly account with them.
