SO i know gaining muscle on cut depends on many factors and very hard to do so but since im a overweight beginner with late novice strength standards whats my best bet program to gain any muscle if i can
in b4 told to run ss or 5x5

so basically run any decent program and lower the progression not volume

You're fat, don't worry too much about building muscle till you get down to at most 20% body fat (ideally 15-17).
Just focus on building good habits (good form, regular attendance, eating well) and then when you do hit that lower fat % you'll have the skills to actually do something useful with it.
