youre not gonna get much size unless you do weighted dips and weighted chins, or you work up to like gymnastic bodyweight stuff

pullups, dips, pushups, row variations are a start along with core work and single leg squats

Why won't bodyweight workout + calorie surplus give you size? The calories have to go somewhere.

because you can only tear down your muscles so much doing pull ups, push ups etc. You could do 200 push ups a day thinking your getting stronger, then go bench press for 20 minutes and get a lot more sore

it's exactly the same as lifting weights. your body doesn't have the internet so it can't into biased opinions and memes. resistance is resistance. body weight is a bit more complex to progressively overload however all is pretty much the same.
