My doctor recommended that I start doing a Ketogenic diet + restrict my caloric intake to lose fat, I haven't done Keto before and wanted to ask for some advice on what would be some good ingredients to purchase when I go food shopping this afternoon, if anyone has experience with this or would like to share some recipes feel free to contribute.

Fruits are a treat. There is no need for them if you are eating vegetables, most fruits aren't even particularly high in micronutrients.
man, I started lifting and went off keto because my trainer told me I'm gonna need carbs and I'm hungry as fuck all the time. I don't even like carbs anymore. I think I'm just gonna eat oats and fruit on training days

yes limiting carbs would accomplish this, but so would limiting calories, so would eating the same amount of calories and getting more exercise

I don't know much when it comes to the science of keto but he explained to me that regular calorie counting is overrated and that i'd see better results if i added in keto and ate at a -250 or -500 calorie deficit as well as to do 30 minutes of cardio a day, are there any big disadvantages to cutting carbs when my goal is just fat loss?
