Are lifting gloves really a meme or do they have a real use?
Calluses are actually starting to effect my lifts.
Should I see a doctor?
Just lift through it?
Do your hands just get stronger over time?

yes. you should go to your doctor for calluses

Would gloves help?
You need to develop the callouses. Use chalk. Gloves get in the way of a secure grip and are only for protecting the hand if you have an open wound. So sayeth Rippletits.
I just use them for my last set or two on bench and when doing lat pulldowns, mostly because my hands get sweaty on bench and it distracts me and lat pulldowns seem to hurt my hands more than deadlifts and rack pulls and I can't finish some sets because it hurts.
Just get thin ones if you get any, the first pair I bought were 'good' ones and they had leather over the palm bit but they were so thick I couldnt even grip the bar properly. The thin ones I have now are better but are being worn away kinda quickly, but they're cheap so idgaf

You need to keep your callouses under control. Sand them down when they raise, don't just go tear them open

youre probably gripping the barbell wrong. I know I was, it used to hurt like a bitch

yes, go to your urologist and let him check if you are a man, cause you sound like a little bitch
I just ordered some wrist wrap lifting gloves because my wrists are fucked. Apparently wrist injuries take forever to fucking heal i even took a week off and I tried to curl baby weight and fucked it up again. Does anyone have any advice to fix fucked up wrists besides wrist support gloves? I cant wait 6 months for it to heal properly and lose muh gains

They have a use, you can color coordinate them with your purse, lipstick and eyeshadow.
It's a little tedious but I recommend using a pumice stone in the shower post lifting. It sands down the callouses but since you're lifting they maintain a rough but cultivated texture. Pumice your feet too girls will appreciate it
