Pic related, my modified phul. I changed it in that I like to go hit all my body parts and then after I finish hit them all again as opposed to doing 2 excersizes right after eachother. Using this distributes energy better to lead to a more proportional physique. I know I should be doing deadlifts, but I want to be able to do them perfectly before I incorporate them in my workouts because when I first started lifting I couldn't get good form and didn't do them for a while after a minor injury.

I try not to but if the weight is high and I still have another excersize of that same body part later on I'll try to conserve that last set's energy rather than to go to failure

6ft 240 at 25 on Modified Texas Method. 5rms are 345 Squat, 200 Bench, 147.5 Press. Don't know my DL 5rm right now but today I did 385 for two triples.

Monday
Squat 5x5
Bench or Press (alternate week to week) 5x5
Deadlift 2x3
Side planks 3x10 (10 on each side)
Rear lateral raises 3x10
Hammer curls 3x10

Wednesday
Front squat 3x3
Bench or Press (90% of the previous monday) 3x5
Chins 3x5 or F (still fat)
Back Extensions 3x10
Dips 3x5 or F (fat)
Face Pulls 3x10

Friday
Squat 1x5
Bench or Press 1x5
Power Cleans 5x3
Incline DB Press 5x10
DB Rows 5x10
Face Pulls 3x10

I take a bit of a break and then some caffeine between Friday's real work and the DB stuff and face pulls. Thoughts?

thinking of running a version of TM, but using giant sets and focusing on OHP instead of bench/OHP. Setup would be like this:
Monday
Giant set 1
- Squat 5x5
- RDL 5x5
- Hanging leg lift 5x10
Giant set 2
- Press 5x5
- weighted Pull ups 5x5
- GHR 5x5
Giant set 3
- weighted dips 3x10
- BB Row 3x10
- incline DB bench 3x10
Giant Set 4
- curls of some kind 3x10
- BB shrug 3x20
- grip work 3x30sec

Wednesday
Squat 3x5
Bench 5x5
Giant set 1
- krok rows 3x20
- z press 3x10
- russian twists? 3x20
Giant set 2
- landmine press 3x10
- curls of some kind 3x10
- cable crossover 3x10

Friday
new 5RM on squat
-followed with some front squat for volume
new 5RM on OHP
-followed by push press for some volume

- tricep pushdown 3x10
- arnold press 3x10

- DB raises front/lateral 3x10
- bodyweight dips 3x15
- pull ups 3xamrap

I think this could be fine, even though it seems like a lot of work. I typically respond well to volume, especially for upper back type work. Really trying to work press here, bench press can sit back and be whatever. I'd like to add in more ab work, however im not sure what would be best to add in, ive never really done any ab specific work before, so suggestions are welcomed. curls/grip work/traps are added because I'll need that for heavy carries, etc. Really working towards building strength for a strongman competition
any suggestions? tweaks, modifications? advice?

Trying to figure out my own routine here, going after a while too, what I really need to concentrate on is my Upper body, I've always been a hard gainer. I'm getting ready to eat more, just need to figure out my own routine, any suggestions?
