You should get done as you periodize your training. You should not get debilitating done ever past your first few weeks. If you do it's not the end of the world. If you never get sore then you probably aren't pereodizing your training.

I only get doms after a longer break from lifting (at least a week) and after that I usually don't get them at all.
I get doms pretty much every time I work out. I'm on a 5 day split and either increase volume or weight every time I go. Is this to be expected or am I doing something wrong?
