This entirely depends on your programming and in particular, what amount of training you've had. Are you completely new to the gym? then do the same few compound exercises for a few months to learn movement patterns and gain base strength. If you're an intermediate it should still likely be the same compound movements with changes to your accessories to target "weak points" whether real or simply perceived. I'm assuming you're not advanced or you would probably know some of this.
every 3 months for me
But if you change your exercises, make sure you do it for a particular reason. Like, make sure you have specific goals in mind and try to hit them.
You're not going to achieve muscle confusion by switching it up every few weeks. You need to strike a balance of spending enough time on one set of exercises to make your muscles trust you again and then pulling the bait and switch. One way for your muscles to trust you again is to treat it to a protein shake. Keeps them coming back every time. It goes to show that none of these hoes are worth a dime.
