>bought turkey mince
>froze it on day of purchase after using some of it for that day's dinner
>take it out of freezer too late today for it to defrost completely
>microwave some of it (500g and i cut it into thirds before freezing) on defrost
>partly cooked with some ugly fatty water around it
>use it anyway
>tastes odd, convince myself its just because it looked gross when you put it in the pan
>halfway through realise no it really does taste odd
>an hour later i am sitting on the toilet (as i type this on my phone) being literally ass blasted
Why did i do it lads
>use it anyway

Thought it was just because i'd partially cooked some of it accidentally during the microwave defrost.
Never again. I won't even be able to stomach turkey mince for months now.
Oh well, beef mince it is. I should be avoiding red meat but mince is so much quicker and easier to cook than actual breast.

Yeah, gotta be real careful with poultry. Ground Turkey is God Tier for cost - protein ratio though. Really healthy and lean too.

Turkey thigh mince is even better; slightly less protons with a bit more fat, but its much cheaper.
Having said that, I buy 15% fat beef mince for dirt cheap. Like £1.60 for half a kilo. I use it for the chilli I make for my lunches.
