I've been doing some basic novice strenght training programs. Now I'd like to switch and I've been thinking of something like this
Day 1
Deadlifts 3x5
Bench press 3x5
Chin ups 3x5
Push press 3x5
Day 2
SLDL
Strict press 5x10
Some row 5x10
Dips 5x10
Hammer curl 5x10
3 Workouts a week
Can I please have some comments on this? My Goal is to mainly increase OPH and DL strenght, because I want dem broad shoulders and big upper back.
"Where's the squats?" I'm already very quad dominant and squat is my strongest exercise, so I'm taking a break from those.

Are you even trying to get a decent body or you just fuck around at the gym? I dont even bench press wtf
I can honestly say that you have the worst routine i've ever seen on /fit/, and i have been around for 5 years

It's a strength routine priorizing antigravity muscles, aiming at athleticism (for basketball and rugby).
The two main exercises, rdl and ohp, follow the principles given on Tsatsouline's book Power To The People, coupled with the Helms' pyramid scheme for sets and reps, which I find it works better for me than the straightforward "Russian Bear" program (2 heavy sets and a bunch of lighter ones, 3-5x/week).
The * supersets are done with lighter weights (60-70% rm) for extra volume on smaller muscles (ie the looks): triceps, delts, and intermediate/deep back muscles - cable rows are great for the latter two imo.
Lastly, chin-ups are fun af..

I was benching til some weeks ago, getting close to 2pl8 on ill fitting bench (> poor form), but I was feeling it on my shoulders, so I quit doing it. Tbqh, bench feels overrated af unless you're into powerlifting or bodybuilding...

Looks ok for big shoulders and backside. Maybe the topset has too much volume.
Been looking for info on some of the bodybuilding forum stickied routines. I like this one from GrouchyJarhead for the quick time in and out of the gym

This one from Viking is a much longer workout but the pump and doms are incredible
