I went ahead and just bought some squat stands. Costway brand, $56 from Walmart, free shipping.
They're okay, not good by any means, but okay. I taped some socks on there to protect the knurling on my barbell (it's a nice York bar). It came with some weird safety bar things that pin on the bottom holes, but I deemed those useless and omitted them from the assembly.
Definitely Chinese steel box tubing. Weak material, but if I'm nice to them I believe they will withstand 3 plates and some change at least. I'll load up the 445lb I own and let you know how it goes
Oh and I bought a $10 grill cover to protects the stands, plates, and weirdly enough, my actual grill from the weather.

so you did survive after all?
thats nice!
>>42487918
No I just made these a couple months ago maybe. Everyone has been posting the local man kills self meme when I've posted them

LET'S
DO
THIS.
Almost missed the rerack lol
Loaded with ~200kg/445lb, support beam looks stable. I rate this adequate

Oh shit, what up Ohio bro?
>>42488122

>>42488425
nevermind that looked thicker in the webm than it actually is
>>42488392
Very good idea. Will implement.
>>42488375
God bless ohio
>>42488432
the 'engineering' used in making this is fucking ridiculous. the piece of metal holding the fucking weight is floating the fucking air, with bolts lining the surface undearneath it. what the fuck is going to happen when that shit bends? also look at those horrid welding joints. jesus fuck. man you could have bought something made in Canada or US for like $100.
>>42488495
I mean it's only rated for 150kg. For $56 I didn't expect much more and I don't need more right now
Why didn't you tape the socks to the barbell for dem extra gains?
>>42488495
And this is why you buy Rogue (proper bolting) or have it welded by someone that knows how not to be a chink
I once saw a setup that had to be a chinese counterfeit of Titan (already a chinese counterfeit of Rogue) that was made using the thinnest steel possible. We're talking less than 16 gauge (.0625"/1.58mm) and probably closer to 20 gauge
Never went back to that place
