I just came here to ask this question and didn't feel it needed a whole thread:

Legs got weak as fuck after months of sitting on my ass. Trying to do squats with some light weights. How long will it take for me to stop feeling like I want to puke after a dozen of them? I don't mind lifting things, but I always feel sick after.

Yeah they play a role but I just don't see them as being a significant weak point hardly ever. Obviously big pecs, triceps, and delts will move weight but of the three, I think delts are definitely the least significant player. Most chest accessory work will also still hit the delts in a fashion suitable for improving benching strength so I don't see the need for much additional shoulder work for almost anybody.

I made a joke about 5 months ago that my bench will go up by exactly 50 pounds by the end of August. I did nothing to reach this goal but coincidentally i have gained strength on the bp. Anyway im 10 pounds from my goal and theres 2 weeks left and i just find it a funny situation.

What made me progress is getting my 80% from 5rm to 15rm. This was just an accident because i couldnt get the weight to make it 90+ and work on those sets so instead of intensity i worked on endurance. Or at least for 1 epic set of many reps.

I've been lifting almost 11 weeks. Knocking out:

ohp 55kg x 4
ben 72.5kg x 5
row 85kg x 5
squ140kg x 3
ddl 145kg x 5

Just got a pain in the left side of the hip/groin. Never had a groin injury but I think I got it after doing adductor machines warmup followed by deadlift 145 x 5. But I didn't feel it until next day after squats at 140kg.

Anyway... It's persisted about a week. I'm still fine getting around but it kinda hurts. I managed 140kg x 5 (1 set) yesterday along with 120kg x 5 (1 set). I'm fine today but stiff and it's aching. Maybe I have doms of the groin... I don't know. I've just switched to PPL because I knew i needed more time between deads and squats... and then this happens. The question is. Should I just drop the deads and squats and go light on the leg machines until this clears up... Or should i be lifting lighter like 70%. Just drop legs all together for a few weeks and do some extra treadmill/rowing.

I feel like just sitting in until it's better because I know if I take it over the edge I may end up with real injury that will take much longer to recover.

What would you guys do in this situation?
