How do I stop being a lazy fuck and get my ass off the sofa to go to the gym? How do I build perserverence not only in my overall physical fitness but also anything in general. I grew up with too much self gratification, how do I rewire my brain to cherish delayed gratification over instant gratification?

The thing is about lifting is it is fucking boring to pointlessly, repetitively pick up and put down heavy shot with no other purpose than to a) expend excess energy and/or b) build muscle. Work a workout into a purposeful activity and you'll be hench in no time without really thinking about it.
