How long were you scrawny after boot camp?

I was super fat at the start, so I never really became scrawny despite losing lots of weight. Went from about 235 down to 195.

Air Force, obviously. All 3 branches take the same basic training though. Most fat people fail to meet the minimum requirements and are sent to do a multi-week physical training course. I just pushed hard enough to barely meet the standard.

What is the ideal infantry body? Being able to carry 60+ kilos on you for long distances without wearing out I imagine would be much more important than brute strength or agility.

Lean and endurant. Light enough to be fireman carried, but strong enough to carry someone a good distance.
