Need some advice guys. I was planning on starting a cut but I injured my lower back a few weeks ago so I've only been doing bench press and chin ups. I don't want to lose any strength or muscle should I cut anyway? Try to maintain? Are heavy bench and chins enough?
Maintain until your back heals. pretty fucking simple

If I were you, I would wait it out. With a grade A diet, you can minimize any loss in strength and size. Spinal injuries shouldn't be taken lightly. I'd let your body rest and heal so you can return to the gym at 100%.

Should I be maintaining then?

Youd probably heal from your injury better and faster if you ate at a surplus. But maintainence will do if you really dont wanna gaim weight

It depends on the severity of your injury. But again, if it was me, I would skip the weights, eat well, and give my body the time to heal. I understand the desire to not lose strength or mass, but I'd err on the side of caution so as not to exacerbate the injury.
