When your under stress your body basically tells your immune system to wave the French flag and let the viruses and bacteria in your body just do their thing unopposed. You're sick but you don't have the tell tale symptoms because your body isn't fighting the infection. Once you're done with school or whatever bullshit you're stressed out about your body stops producing as much cortisol (I think it's cortisol. If I'm wrong fuck you) and your immune system reenacts the Normandy invasion and starts kicking ass again. But in the process you get all the lovely symptoms of feeling sick.
