Where did you improve after you started lifting?
I started getting more and more productive and realized that there is no real happieness in leisure. And that already lasted for years, so its no "hype".

The biggest change was starting to take care of my general health in many ways. Sleep, diet, not drinking
Also the mental health aspects of working towards a goal and then achieving that goal are pretty satisfying. Although hard to quantify if theres any effect on life
