Hey /fit/,
I have a surgery coming up on my knee and it will limit my ability to move for at least two weeks, and if they discover further damage, they told me it could even be as bad as 8 weeks.
Has anyone had experience with a similar surgery? I should be in a disabling brace for at least those first 2 weeks with a slightly more moveable brace over time. I will of course ask a doctor, but I don't want to lose my gainz so I'm working on prep.

i had a full acl reconstruction from a hamstring graft. Do every PT exercise at the maximum amount. If that means every day, do it every day. You will reduce your scar tissue and speed up your recovery by months, not to mention impress the QT physio girls with your hard work and dedication.
Mine still hurts and gets a little clicky if i spend all day walking on it, or after a really heavy leg day. I also lost 40% of my meniscus which is probably why. my squats arent a priority anymore as i dont want to grind it down any futher.

Fair advice. In your experience were you able to do anything beyond the PT. I imagine I could use my arms if I owned weights myself, so I may order some dumbbells, but how long would it take to say, plank? I have pretty muscular legs from being a former fatty, but my core is just starting to feel like it exists.

I wouldnt until you are fairly mobile. In order to set up youll be lugging weights around and taking tons of risk on your injured leg. Just dont eat like a pig and do your PT, youll be sweating plenty if its anything like mine
>Balance exercises
>mountain climbers on a slippery thing
>planks
>weighted wall sits
>heavy rope work
>leg machine curls
>single leg straight leg deadlift
etc. calm down faggot and recover.

I gotcha my dude. I'm just in an odd spot, I've lost over 110 LBS and I fear relapse. I think I'm finally going to make it, but staying home and being forced to play video games instead of moving hurts.

its all good man, i understand the concern. But a few lbs is a few weeks work. not taking your injury seriously can fuck your life up permanently.
>t. a guy with chronic knee problems despite taking it seriously
you dont want this life.
