Hey guys,
Is rowing a good low-impact cardio exercise? What should I aim for on the rower to get a moderate exercise? Resistance settings, duration, speed, etc.? I really enjoy using the machine (and yes, I do it with the proper form), but am I missing out on any sort of cardio gains by doing this for 30 minutes as opposed to a treadmill for 30 minutes?
yes it is good low intensity cardio and is full body.
and no.
treadmills suck dick anyway, run in the street.

Sweet. My cardio is absolutely terrible, and I mostly do cardio on my days when I'm not lifting, so anything too intense becomes painful after a while
Rowing machines are the shit. If I had the room and the money I'd get one for sure.

Right? My old gym didn't have them, but since I joined my new one I've been dabbling, and they're fun to be on and I feel great afterwards
Rowing machines are great cardio, recommend them 100%. Burns more calories than running because you are using more muscles more actively. If you are looking for times then:
>Under 8 minute 2k: Good
>Under 7:30: Better
>Under 7: Great
>Anything lower than 6:30: Fantastic/Elite
Around 4-6 resistance is similar to water and where you are most efficient for distance. It's preference though. This is all assuming you care about times.
Go rip some fat ergos
