My wife wants to do the same lifts I do: deadlift, squat, bench, OHP.
Should she just use a bunch of dumbbells to simulate these lifts so she doesn't need to use my squat cage?

just work in with her
>>42417216
No. Not half-assing things is always important, but with women it's even more important.
why wouldn't she just use the cage? it's safer than free weights
>>42417216
Probably better to let her use the cage, and actually do the lifts properly.
>>42417224
That would involve changing the weights every set.

For convenience. She's not as motivated to lift as I am, so convenience is pretty important or she'll stop sooner or later.
And dumbbells are pretty safe, you just drop them.
Sure man.
Dumbbells or those easy curl bars / lighter weight straight barbells.
There's gonna be carry over between DB shoulder press and BB OHP, DB bench and BB bench, etc.
>>42417216
depending on how new she is it might be easier for her to start off with db bench press, db seated ohp, rack pull (if she cant lift 135 deads). regular squats should be fine
Quit being a bitch and work with her

I tried that. Even changed the weights for her.
She quit pretty quickly because she thought I was being mean when I corrected her form.
Can noob women use regular 44lb barbells?

>she thought I was being mean when I corrected her form.
Tell her to try a female hobby like knitting or something.

>it's safer to squat dumbbells than barbells
>it's safer to OHP dumbbells than barbells
Your wife chose a moron.

I never said "safer". I said "pretty safe".
