He never liked fighting in the first place. Goku loved fighting, he'd make stupid ass decisions to keep fighting or have a better fight. Gohan would only fight when forced to and I don't think he liked training or getting stronger like the legit martial artists did. pretty sure the saiyanman shit wasn't in the manga but the legit martial artists wouldn't go around stopping weaklings for kicks like gohan did. Even if Krillian became a cop Gohan was doing that shit for free.
