I actually agree with this somewhat. Most of what it takes to cook just requires following a recipe and not fucking it up by burning shit. When someone says they can't cook it's usually because they don't care enough to just learn how to do something or never developed their palette enough to know what things should taste like. Recently I found that actually focusing on a long-term goal relating to who you actually feel like you want to be in the future, in my case learning to make music, has given me new purpose in life.

Since then, things like cooking, cycling, playing football, reading for the sake of reading or learning random stuff, is still fun, but less valuable I feel.

Get a girlfriend and you can practice logistics and project management.

Find a 90's Japanese Squire guitar on Craigslist and get a cheap USB interface, roughly $200 total. Pirate guitar rig 5. Download Tuxguitar. Look up some YouTube lessons on basic guitar technique, learn power chords, open chords (ACDEFG, AmDmEm) and the major, minor and pentatonic scale shapes. Go to Ultimate-guitar.com and get guitar pro tabs for songs that seem easy and pick them out on tuxguitar. Boom you can now play like 80% of songs for the most part. Practice with a metronome. The intrinsic motivation will keep you going and you should be shredding face in a couple years. Total n00b to shred god linear progression. Good luck, keep the shred alive on /fit/

Where the fuck can you get weekly lessons for $40 a month. I pay $67 for 45 minutes of piano lessons every week.

I would suggest to pick a couple of things you enjoy and try to be the best you can in those areas instead of being an average guy with litle experience in many things.

Its more useful to be an expert in one area that being mediocre at several. Of course you need discipline to achieve mastery.

There are so many pathetic dudes in the world these days it isn't hard to be top 20%. If you're not below average looks, have been going to the gym consistently for over a year and a half, are well read, have interesting hobbies and at least some sort of long term careers goals you are well within the top 20% these days. Same is true for almost all sexually reproducing species. Woman are always subconsciously more picky because a women commits more to the reproductive process, their bodies are literally designed to be fucked and carry babies.
