Been lifting for about 6 months now. I started off dumbbell benching but now I just do barbell for more weight. I get a sharp pain in my right shoulder (dominant arm) on the way up when I'm doing flat bench. I've asked a few guys at the gym to evaluate my form and they say all good but I still get the shoulder discomfort on the way up.
RIP rotator cuff.

The bar is probably too high on your chest, that was my problem.
Sounds like your grip is too wide and you're using more shoulder than chest. A wider grip causes you to flare out your elbows more. Your elbows should be no more than 45 degrees out from your torso.
