WANT
>lifting shoes
>raised heel
I will never get this. is it suppose to force yourself to learn how to properly balance all over again or is the goal to make you fuck up all your lifts?
anyway, the best lifting shoe I've ever used was walmart brand knock off chucks. comfy, look typical and good, flat heels so don't have to take them off for squats/deadlift, and were 8$

The raised heel and overall structure adds stability.

Heel flat on floor and your knees as far forward as you can go without raising your heel.
Try squatting. Comfy going deep... sort of? Try adding 200kg... Still comfy?
Try squatting with a raised heel... Comfy going deep... ya.... add 200kg... comfy af.
Nice stable base too, support around the heel, comfy around the ankle, laced up, strapped in, grippy flat contact with the platform... Don't want to go off balance on with all that canvas supporting you and twist your foot inwards.
$8 on chucks... cool... I think the extra $40 towards a pair of budget lifting shoes might save you from injuries in future.
OP
adidas powerlift 3 have something like 22-25mm heel... The other adidas shoes seem to have 30mm or greater, i think up to 36mm. I bought the PL3 because they were £37.50. They were also more accommodating to my wide feet (not a lot though) and felt more stable initially. Adipower was a higher quality shoe though... no doubt. A higher heel is going to make things easier (although feel stranger at first) and they also might remove your from manlet status.
Can't really go wrong here.

Powelift 3s cost like 99 EUR at Intersport... Am I being gypped?
