I use the Charge 2 fitbit and it makes your wrists/forearms look bigger
I use Excel for all my diet. I have it set up to pull names and quantity and calculate my macro ratios and shit all day. That's kinda /g/

thinking about this, but want to do my own data science. has anyone tried scraping the data from fitbit servers?
Heart rate monitors are a must if you are serious about doing cardio. They help you make sure you're putting in real effort and not bullshitting yourself.

A scouter to check everyone else's gain level
just this

nah it just amplifies how much of a wristlet you are

I heard that they aren't very good at monitoring heart rate

Literally no serious athletes use this. Just saying.
Fitbits are grossly inaccurate. I've used under armor UA bands and the Apple Watch and compared them to a heart rate monitor and they were relatively accurate. Fitbit over exaggerates total daily calorie expenditure.
>Measuring HR
>Not just counting beats for 15 seconds and multiplying by 4

Got a miband 2 about 3 weeks ago, just wanted something to track steps and HR. Not sure if the HR is accurate, but I saw reviews before getting it saying that HR was fixed a few months back. Only thing I hate is that it's useless outside, the LED screen is to dim that you can't even check the time without having to block the sun from hitting it. For $25 it's alright, build quality is great, but would get something better if I had the money, maybe something from Garmin.
I have the Alta and I love it. It tells you when to move if you've been inactive too long. I like it bc I'm really goal and detail oriented so having that step goal makes me do it one way or another.
And it's thinner than most fit watches and you can switch out bands to make it different pretty colors and designs
