So I started doing some bodyweight training to obviously lose some weight and get in shape, but I am not pleased with the way I look yet. Went to the gym once and started noticing some improvement on the aesthetic side. Do you guys recommend a mix between the two? I am starting college soon so I want to know if I should spend my money on a gym pass. Pic maybe (?) related.
A mix between the 2 could definitely work

If your goal is to just lose weight and get in shape then bodyweight exercises will be enough to take you there, but if you want to get bigger then I'd recommend that you also invest in a gym membership.
Bodyweight exercises alone will be enough to make you look better than the average but you won't get huge from them.

Just to tons of pull ups, chin ups and dips in the gym. And some ab exercizes. There's your BW routine, the rest should be done with barbells and dumbells

do both, you'll need arms isolation though, try doing curls, triceps pushdowns and lateral raises and front raises at least twice a week, along with bodyweight training

This. Just do both. Don't be an elitist fag on either side.
Reason why you're asking is because you're lazy to do both so you want to kw which to better invest tine in. Do both
