When should move on from a beginner routine to an intermediate routine?

When stalling on your lifts becomes a regular thing even with deloads.

Or switch to 3x5 and accessories to 3x8 and bleed LP dry

I know you should do it when you cant progress anymore, but at what point does that usually happen? What sort of lifts did you guys have when you switched? Asking just out of interest

It depends on the person. Greg Nuckols said a typical starting strength programme can last from 2-6months, depending on the individual and their factors (sleep, diet, genetics).

asap

After 2nd squat stall switch to 3x5, after 2nd 3x5 stall switch to TM

When you reach intermediate strength levels according to your body weight

Never stop a programme if you are making progress.
When I switched to an intermediate routine, my main lifts were around the below for 3×5
OHP: 150
Bench: 225
Squat: 285
Deadlift: 385

what are you asking here? is 5x5 considered a beginner routine? i thought you just keep adding weight forever?
Never lifted before, started SL 5x5 2 months ago
5'10, 190lbs
I do 5x5
145lbs bench
190lbs squat
205 dead lift
my stats are shit arent they
when should i quit 5x5

that's not bad for only 2 months of lifting in your entire life. im guessing that 190lbs is a lot of fat.
keep it up
>>42387271
really
thanks anon, yeah i weighed 285 9 months ago and wanted something to do this summer.
im going 4 days a week which isnt following the 5x5 but im gonna get stricter about it next week

You should be progressing to a new routine every workout. If you're not lifting close to Olympic levels by the end of week 2 you're doing it wrong.
>>42387074
How long did that take you?
>>42387246
Those are not bad lifts. I'm 5'9, 157lb, and I'm at
145lb bench
230lb squat
225lb diddy
for 5x5, and I think I look pretty decent. You're only an inch taller, so if you're not proud of how you look right now, you will be very soon

thanks man
have a good week lifting
