Hey /fit/ I've been eating a lot of pizza lately every couple of days, specifically deep dish mini ones, since I'm on a bulk and it's a real easy 970 calories.
However a friend recently told me it's hollow calories , but I thought only processed sugar counted as hollow.
What are your thoughts?

assemble your own meal, spagetti and chuck a fuckload of meatballs in there. or just eat the meatballs
I felt like shit when I bulked on pizza. Id eat a large and wouldn't shit for a day or two
"hollow"? The typical expression is "empty calories", which is a kind of mom-sciency way of talking about food with no fiber or macros. Are you ESL?
Either way pizza is fine for bulk as long as it's not like 90% dough

First of all, pizza is full of calories for a reason: the mix of cheese and bread, Fats & Carbs.
Ok, here we go.
Pizza will raise your insuline levels af, mostly because of the base, which is in fact "simple carbs".
The other things you're gonna put on it doesn't really matter.
I'll avoid mixing fats n carbs in the same meal in these proportions.You'll bulk up really quick if you're going to follow a diet in which pizza is an everyday meal, that's obivous. But the amount of protein in that meal would be insignificant. Just eat it as a cheat meal bro, otherwise if you want some carbs to raise your calories i suggest cooking pasta
They are not empty at all m8. It's quick, dirty energy for your body. It just doesn't have any additional nutrients
