your opinion? Have you tried this program before? Did you change anything along the way?

I just finished 6 months of SS and would like to try a different program. PHUL combines power and hypertrophy, so it sounds like a good option. I will be doing it on a bulk, so I hope to build some muscle as well.

Not bad, but not really great either. The general outline is right, the specifics are all over the place. If you want an actually good "power/hypertrophy upper/lower" split, Texas method 4 day split and Candito's linear program are better in every way

Me neither, you can still do TM.

Bench 5x5 @ 85%
OHP 3x8-12
LTEs, facepulls, curls, lat raises, whatever accessories you want do here

Squat 5x5 @ 85%
High block pull 5x5 @ 85%*
Weighted chinups 3xf

(dips 3xf + other arm accessories)

*Why high block pulls? Because the bottom part of a DL is already trained by squats. look for side by side comparisons or low bar squats and snatch grip or deficit deadlifts, the knee and hip angles are very close. So you have to overload your upper back with the high block pulls
**OHP and DL won't be *true* 5rms but they will still progress nicely along their counterparts

Prioritizes a pulling movement (lat pulldown) over a pushing one (OHP)
It's supposed to be a "power" day yet 4 out of 7 exercises are in the 6-10 rep range (power is 1-3 reps, 5 MAX)

Too little specificity in general. Basic barbell movements are trained with 1/week frequency, it should be 2. Pick two leg movements, two push and two pull, load them heavy, bang out your sets and then worry about meme accessories.
