Yes and no
I love lifting but it's a real time consumer
>>
>>42358480
>it's a real time consumer

What? You can have a decent workout in 40 minutes.
>>
Fuck no I don't enjoy lifting, it takes up to 2 hours out of my day and leaves me exhausted and sore

But god damn do I like being bigger than everyone else
>>
>>42358464
no I hate it, but I have to do it
>>
>>42358498
I usually do like an hour and 30 minutes
>>
>>42358464
Yes and no, I love high intensity workouts over 90% of my max, but I dread and hate any volume work
>tfw 11 sets of squats. next week
>>
I fucking love it, had a 3 hour arms day yesterday
It's nice in summer mostly because I ain't got shit to do

Yeah I find it meditative.

Introverted people enjoy doing the same thing over and over for that reason. It's calming.
>>
>>42358464
Fuck no. Lifting is boring af. Do people here actually enjoy lifting? It's literally picking up and dropping shit down for 90 minutes. The results are what I work for. Much like brushing your teeth, going grocery shopping, or walking to work I do these things to keep my body healthy.
>>
>>42358527
lol diminishing returns.
did you get rippetoed?

Nah
I have asthma so I get winded a lot faster and have to take longer rests
>>
lifting is very enjoyable. when it is difficult it is cathartic, and makes me feel alive (yet exhausted) because my body was built to be strong (am i farmer genes?)
>>
>>42358464
Hell yes
>>
Reminder that if you don't enjoy lifting, you'll never make it.
If you don't enjoy improving yourself, there's nothing stopping you from quitting.
>>
>>42358593
i was gonna say, could get a great sufficient workout in half that time, but can't know what your disease is like
>>
>>42358464
fucking love lifting, it's a highlight of my day
>>
>>42358464
Absolutely. I lift not to become bigger, but as a pleasant hobby
>>
Of course. I don't get how you can't and still do it
>>
>>42358619
> disease
I don't think asthma is a disease, it's more like being a manlet of lungs
>>
>>42358641
sorry, thats what wikipedia told me
>>
>>42358641
>manlet
this is also a disease desu
>>
Lifting is the new MMORPG. Gives me a sense of accomplishment that I can't derive from anything else going on in my life right now. At least it's productive and I'm losing fat and gaining muscle.

Yes and no.
When i've had a good session in the gym, i feel insanely good that day and the day after.
When i've had a shitty session (failing reps due to strength fluctuations, having to deload, gym too crowded, failed social interactions) i feel like dogshit instead. It's a rollercoaster.

All in all it's pretty great. I like how my body is changing.
>>
>>42358464
>Do you actually enjoy lifting?
No. I just understand the health and social benefits.

I fucking hate lifting. If there was any other way to maintain muscles I'd do that instead.
>>
I like working out. Not lifting. Running, pushups, pullups, kick boxing. But yes I lift.

I absolutely love it, the rush I get is phenomenal. I don't know if there's something wrong with me but I'll start grinning and feeling like on the moon after a few heavy sets.
>>
Yes but primarily when I gain strength, plateaus make me want to kill myself

yes and yes.

It is simple and leaves me with a good feeling afterwards.
>>
>>42358464
Lifting gives me a spiritual erection
>>
It's alright. I enjoy martial arts and dancing; I lift, stretch, and run to get better at them.
>>
I enjoy certain lifts. Bench and OHP are actually fun and I look forward to doing them. I dislike squats and avoid doing them. I somewhat hate accessories like curls because they are boring and I don't like the way they feel, but I do them because I want bigger biceps.

My favourite part of lifting is actually the DOMS I get the day after.
>>
>>42358896
>Clarence Kennedy
Obviously he doesn't give a fuck and has a happy life and all that, but SHIT if he would just get contacts and a real haircut he would be qt
>>
>>42358464

Been training on and off for 6 years now. I've kind a bit of intest in gaining a bunch of muscle, I don't count macros or anything like I used to do I just lift occasionally out of habit. It's nice being in decent shape, also releases a bunch of stress so yes I enjoy it.
>>
I enjoy it most of the time, but I fucking hate doing squats. Legit fuck squats. Also when you have a shitty day with no motivation or energy it's not fun either, but most of the time I do enjoy it.

>>

Ye man. I would do it even if no one saw me ever. I'm so used to my muscles being sore that I'm addicted to it. It feels weird if I'm rested.
>>
>>42358464

Yes.

But I hate bench press.

When the fuck will they learn

I remember some Chad in my high school was prescribed either hGH or AAS for being born with underdeveloped lungs.
>>
>>42358641
It's a disease. Your lungs are a normal size they just get inflamed frequently to the point where you can't breathe

>>42358464
it's the only thing in my life that I truly love.
Given I have my moments where Im like meh, feel unmotivated and feel like i'm spinning my wheels.

But when it's good, it's great. Like how Arnold said it was like cumming.
When you have that workout where you just know it's gonna be great. You grab that first weight, it feels light.

You smash PRs and get a pump like crazy. The endorphin rush.

Life is not worth living without lifting. IT's the only thing ive done right in my 30 years on this earth.
>>
Other than coffee and cigarettes it's the only thing I look forward to in the day. I am knowledgeable about something. I see progress. I am in control of something. It's nice.
>>
>>42358464
I both dread and love lifting. I dread the work I must do but I love the satisfaction at the end of a long workout.
>>
>>42358464
Why do girls do this? The amount of gear she is surely on is gonna wreck her skin and face in about 2 years.

I love it when I think I can't do any more reps and I I somehow manage to squeeze in another 6-8 reps, with lots of grunting noises, whilst looking completely autistic. Whatever is takes.

It's the only thing I enjoy doing nowadays and it's the only highlight of my day. It's the only thing keeping me from killing myself. On rest days (which I try to only have once a week, PPL) I feel like garbage and spiral deeper into the endless pit, only to be dragged up to the surface just in time by getting back in the gym the next day.

>asthma is just being a manlet of lungs
Made me lol but I remember having asthma as a kid. It feels more like you can't get enough air into your lungs, not that your lungs are too small. It feels more like a throat and windpipe problem than a chest problem.
