Someone posted a study on a 2 week fasting. They lost 5% of their muscle mass. And that number could more than double if you double the time with fasting.
People who fast are lazy fucks. They dont realise losing weight and maintaining it takes change in habits and attitude. This is the exact reason why so many fad diets fail. Fasting is just another fad diet.
Everyone knows that a bigger caloric deficit means more muscle loss, which is why 500kcal deficit is the golden standard.

For losing fat it’s good but get your macros in if your lifting weights.

Intermitant fasting is going like 12 or 16 hours without food, not two WEEKS.

And to clarify, a 500 calorie defficit and intermitant fasting are not mutually exclusive. The schedule can just help some people who struggle with habitual overeating

Fasting is a great step towards a full blown eating disorder.
I fast every weekend for 48hrs, mostly cause I don't work and it's a good way to curb my eating out of boredom. Otherwise I do IF at 20:4 mon-fri, I am cutting so that's part of it, otherwise I feast on chicken and rice for those tasty clean bulk gains.

Cut out the shitty grain and eat veggies instead. No more need to fast. Eat chicken and veggies til you're stuffed

fruit, can i eat fruit!

I eat broccoli and peppers too but yeah they are pretty much for micros and filler, not gonna get big eating veggies.

>Does Intermittent Fasting Really Work?
yes

IF just makes counting easier. Also keeps me from binging. Interested in mixing a 22/2 schedule with keto. Any experience?

Sounds like a good way to finally muster the willpower to kill yourself
I do 1000 calorie deficit with 6 hour eating window. Not sure about the meme benefits but it does help me eat less.

Why do you care how people diet? Grow up kiddo and worry about yourself.
Ive lost 5 pounds since ive started eating for 1 hour per day
that was a week and a half ago
the only benefits ive seen on none bias scientific studies were increased insulin sensitivity which is very promising for type 2 diabetics
but i see absolutely no benefits for bodybuilders or people with fitness goals relating to increasing lean mass as protein synthesis rates are fairly limited and it is ideal to maintain them throughout the day by eating spaced meals as opposed to eating all TDEE in a small time space (dont hit me with your body can slow down the digestion to postpone protein use this is simply untrue to a significant level, protein like every macro nutrient is converted and stored as fat when consumed in excess and thus unusable amounts)
