What is the best way to recover after long runs? Planning on

What is the best way to recover after long runs?

Planning on doing ~50mi/week; with 10 mi/day for 5 days and 2 rest days in the middle. But I want to recover faster on some days, where I feel like my quads or calves are tight esp when I do hills.

What works best for you guys

Berries, carbs, ice, stretch, sleep, run on soft as a surface as possible
