I'd just like to thank you all for these threads, I weighted 80kg being 1,78cm tall and after 3 weeks now i'm 74kg, helped me a lot with running and almost doing my pull ups attempts.

I think i'll go down to 65kg or something and then just go back to eat something like 1900kcal a day (eating 1100-1500 a day at the moment)

Good luck to you all!

>pic related is honestly my goal, I really want to be fast/agile and be able to pull up on bars with ease one day.
btw, Does anyone know what body fat is pic related?
>>
>>42333702
Anyone sick of the Large Man guy? I know he just wants attention but he ruins every FPH thread and he's making it harder to go to the threads for fph motivation
>>
and btw, My Fitness Pal helps a lot with counting calories and the whole Calorie In Calorie Out thing.

You naturaly just stop eating chocolates and sweets so much because they a're "empty" calories that will keep you hungry so you'll either eat something else better os just drink water until you go to sleep.

btw, does anyone used or has a rowing machine? Never use it but seems to be something ncie since you get your upper body strong in contrast to bike for example.

2 servings of hm penne romano (500 each)

That's another thing, I'm a huge pasta guy, so substituting pasta for rice and other better options is gonna be probably my hardest part. Cause in the Army I could just eat anything I wanted so I did because I'd just work it off during pt twice a day and gym afterwards. I didn't fix that when I got out.

that helped me alot.

265->194.5 here
diet mostly
eat more low calorie foods like fruits and veggies and less processed junk food.

at first you will feel "hunger" or rather what you feel is "hunger" all the time. its not actual hunger, its just you having an oral fixation and stress response. after a while you will stop feeling "hunger" and start actually feeling a physical discomfort from lack of food, a light burning sensation around your stomach.
>thats a good sign, your body is needing more energy then t has, you are starting to burn fat.

eventually you get to the point where you eat more out of habit then actual "hunger" and food becomes almost like a mathematical puzzle. Just numbers.

Was talking to a bodybuilding dude at work earlier (I work in a grocery store) who was buying fried chicken because it's a cheat day for him. I told him about my weight loss and he legit said "Congratulations man, I'm proud of you" in a sincere way.

I don't have any family and I'm single, so other than my roommate no one has really mentioned my weight loss, let alone said anything supportive like that about it (it's not really visible yet), so having some random stranger tell me he was proud of my felt really fuckin' good, as faggy as that sounds.

Time to get serious
>>

Yup. Confidence from others and motivation like that really does help. I always act annoyed when people bring up that they can see my weight loss, especially when it's at a crowded even like a family reunion or something where I have multiple people bringing it up at once. But honestly I kinda love it. Helps me know I'm doing it right and that people can notice without me having to bring it up at all.

Then again, it also means they clearly could tell how much of a fat fuck I was before and never said anything ;_;

That's very possible m8. Depending on your height anyway. I'm 5'11 and dropped from 240 to 180 in about 3 and a half months.

I'm 170cm and 140kg and it keeps telling me my maintenance is 3000 with sedentary activity level.

This doesn't seem right. Can I get away with eating 2500 or even 2000? I obviously need to lose a lot of weight before I even think about muscle.

Should I lift 3 days a week anyway or should I do cardio every day?

For cardio don't do things that will be put too much strain on your legs, like running. Try something like swimming or exercise bike.

That sounds totally fucking retarded. You should look up your TDEE and eat like 500-700 cals less. Going vegetarian is drastic and you probably won't stick with it, let alone do it correctly and get good macros. Even then you'll just become skinny fat if you're not planning on lifting. The only reason you shouldn't lift is if you're injured. Stop being a little fucking bitch and lift god dammit.

I started at 340 went down to 240 awhile back and currently around 260. Height: 5'10. I've never lifted shit except sporadically doing some pushups.
I want to be strong fat so that im not a saggy blob. Do I have to lose more weight before I start lifting and bulking? I don't care about being thin at all. I just want to be more shapely and not have droopy folds.
I really want to jump in and start a lifting routine because I've waited too damn long to start going to a gym constantly abstracting it out into the future and having no concrete goal. But I'm afraid that if I don't bulk I will fuck it up and stall right away and not be sure if im doing anything right.

If hunger is a big problem, try IF. Also stay away from food. Have times you allow yourself to eat and outside of that you can't open the fridge or cabinets. Eliminating options helps untill you build more willpower.
You sound like you are trying to go to low under your TDEE, you gotta ease into diets.

Projections :
>4.6kg to goal weight
>given 25% decrease in loss, next month estimated results should be 2.96kg
>month after that 2.22kg
>this means I could probably reach goal weight in a month and a half. Feelsgoodmang.

Quick questions for you lads :
How anal tight do you have to be about calorie counting while maintaining? Like do you have to hit TDEE on the dot calorie wise, or else you'll lose/gain, also given I do some exercise, will I have to calculate my TDEE for maintenance with exercise factored in now, as I don't want to lose any more weight (really I'll be borderline anorexic if I lose more). I'll only have to maintain for three months after that I will have the financial situation/circumstances to join a gym and start lifting heavier+bulking. Thanks.

There's really no real trick, you just gotta stop. Maybe look into baking yourself some oat cookies with dark chocolate; if you're gonna snack/cheat you might as well be in control of the macros.

I have a huge sweet tooth, so much so that if I buy chocolate for the week, I'll eat it in the hour. I just avoid bringing it into my house entirely these days. Is there any other snack you can switch out for cookies? Like jerky or shredded chicken? Maybe some almond chocolate milk?
>>42338152
That's amazing. How is horse meat? It's one of the few animals I haven't eaten (yet). Do they have a nutritional chart for their horse sausages? Sausages can be a dangerous food as they're usually loaded up with fillers and other junk that pushes their carb levels to stupid heights; I learnt that the hard way way back in the day

Horse meat is more hard/chewy so it's not for people who like tender stuff but the taste is very flavorful. Just know that if you get minced horse meat for example you better prepare that it's dry. So your recipe better have some juice in it.

As for the sausages, there's no worries. The shop makes them in-house and I'm in friendly terms with the people there from frequenting it. I haven't directly asked whether they use fillings but I trust them enough.

Ahhh yea kinda the same with kangaroo, except kangaroo is also very sticky so you really have to cook it through like chicken otherwise it's really...pungent. I need a new distraction to keep my mind off of food.

Wish I had a ps3, I want to play spec ops the line. Anyone know if I can watch the walkthrough online and still be entertained? I get I won't have the same level of engagement but idk doesn't seem likely id get a ps3 any time soon
>>

>>42338381
Have you got a PC anon? I have a steam key for it sitting around
>>
>>42338381

I don't know why this isn't widespread but you can download a PSNow client on your PC and stream PS3 games. If you have a shitty connection it'll be barely playable but for me it was pretty good for non-intense games like Journey. You can get a 7 day free trial which is plenty of time to finish spec ops.

Their website and store is absolute shit so it may take some digging around for you to get it. Not to mention that it can be unavailable for your country so you'd need to register a new account with an eligible country

However, I don't think gaming will get your mind off of food, I recommend you drink more water/tea and more thinking about what is food to you, what it gives and is it worth it. It sounds ridiculous at first but putting some thought about it will make the cravings less intense, it did for me at least.

You realize there's no point in pining for someone romantically when they have no interest in you.

And the next time you have a crush ,you ask that chick out closer to the beginning so you don't build it up in your head.

There's nothing special about women who aren't interested in you. They never think about you, and you know it, so don't waste your time thinking about what we will never happen.

And next time you want girl advice ask on /adv/ because this shit isn't health and fitness related.

>>
>>42335799
I know it's been a while (left for work right after posting that) but I'll respond for the fuck of it.

Just cutting calories and doing basic exercises really. But mostly just cutting calories. Find your TDEE and cut 500 to 1,000 calories. I set my absolute limit at a 500 calorie deficit but go lower when I can.

I'll admit I kind of push myself at times and only eat around 900 - 1,200 calories some days. But it's only when I really feel up to it.

I've also been doing intermittent fasting pretty regularly. Can't say for sure how much it has helped but I feel like I tend to plateau less when I do that. For instance, my first month dieting I lost about 15lbs and that was with no IF, plus I was still drinking shit like orange juice and an occasional pop. My second month I started drinking only water (and an occasional black coffee) as well as starting IF and I lost about 20lbs and only plateaued once for about a week. Other than that I was consistently dropping weight every other day or so.
>>
>>42339080
the only way I believe this could work is because the coarse brush would cause micro-dermabrasion? What's the science behind it though?
>>
>>42339097
Should increase bloodflow in that area and what you said. Read it in relation to cellulite.
>>
>>42339135
fuck, speaking of cellulite...I'm skinnyfat now but goddamn...I was sitting on a chair at my desk in a pair of short boxers with one leg set on the other, and shit...I looked down for whatever reason, and saw that the thigh that was spread out because of pressure on the other, looked like orangel peel. it was disgusting. Looked like chicken skin after you pluck it, like cottage cheese curds. I'm so fucking mad at myself for letting it get this far, but whatever I am working on it now...Should be less noticeable when I lose more weight + gain some muscle back in my quads. I'm just glad it only shows when I apply pressure on the region though.
Anything to help fix cellulite other than lose fat/recomp?

running became a lot easier when someone suggest this.

For a moderate/fast pace I breathe to match my stride, it's like this

Step
Inhale through nose
Step
inhale through nose
Step
exhale through mouth
Step
exhale through mouth

Doing it like this lets me get through C25K exercise without getting winded fast. I only get winded at like 85% of the way in the run. Also you want to run with head up straight, shoulders back and generally arms up above waist.

the weight you're gaining is muscle ..

building muscle and losing weight are very different things, if your main goal is to lose weight do a shit ton of cardio and eat less, or just fast for a period of time.

I fasted for 1 month and lost 21kg of fat, and only noticed very minimal muscle loss.

There's no fiber one cereal in my country, so I only eat oats (with milk). I wish to find some fiber cereal. My TDEE is pretty low already and I'm trying to get my protein in first, so there's not much left for fiber. My shits aren't too dense though, but still could use some improvement.
Also I need to try a colon cleanser because I'm always backed up by a day, never fully "empty" so to speak. I think it started a day I was constipated and missed a BM, and now I'm one behind. I've heard there's a lot of gunk on the walls that a colon cleanser can really scrape out, and it can really make you feel lighter/less toxic. Also it's not a meme unlike the other "diet" pills that it's usually sold in a pack with (like raspberry ketones or garcinia cambodgia).
I wish I had the balls to do coffee enemas/hot water enemas. I'm sure it'll improve my colon's health...I just can't bring myself to do the deed. So cleansers it is...

no, but I was browsing supplements on amazon and was reading pages of reviews on those, and most people were throwing shit at things like ketons/cambodgia, while they clearly stated that actually colon cleanser (made from actual plants) was in fact effective and some gave detailed account of the "goo" that they excreted on top of their BM. So I don't know, I won't say "it costs nothing to try it", because it does, but I'm one for experimenting.

Anyone else find it a whole lot easier to rein in their fatass tendencies since starting to count calories?

It's like before I didn't even know how much I was eating and I just found out I really don't need to (or want to) eat that much anymore. I basically can't eat anything that doesn't have a significant amount of protein or fiber in it anymore and sugars have been cut down to next to nothing.

Just use some common sense man. If it's skinless breast and you don't bread it or butter it, it won't be a huge amount of calories if you have it with some vegetables. Sometimes you have to guesstimate. Just be conservative.

I saw the number 0 on my weigh for the first time in a long while. That is, 110 kg. I weigh myself fairly often, but it was the first time in such a long time, I'm sure it's going the right direction.
It's 113 kg now, but that's after a weekend of binging, which isn't uncommon. Anyhow.

I'm really not feeling for going to the gym today, willpower is at a bottom and I had a hungover fap-day of 6 or 7 times so I'm drained and fatiqued.

I'd figure I will (heh) check how the gym is on Saturday (by going Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) and go back to Monday - Wednesday - Friday next week.

Not gonna drink a lot or at all this weekend - maybe the two glasses of red wine I have left from this weekend, but that's it.

Chicken wraps with wokked vegetables and quarg here I come..

Hey /fat/ and /fit/, I really need advice on how to encourage my mom to work out. She's about 1m60 and weighs 70kgs, she's been like this for the past 10 years. I don't want her to keep staying like this especially since she's heading towards her 50's. I love my mom so much that I got her to get a year long membership with full time coaches, got her friends to go with her, she was excited at first but then abandoned the idea 2 days later. She's a huge workaholic and I understand that she has to act like that because she's still raising me. I appreciate her care so much but I can take care of myself now and would love to watch my mom do the same. She's secretly insecure about her weight, she knows the struggles of not finding the right size at her favorite brands, yet she hesitates when it comes to improving her health. Her excuses are always "i'm too busy", "I don't have time for that" "I care more about making money"... I have tried to explain to her about the health risks, and I bet she knows. She told me her hips were hurting the other day when she was walking, and I spent that night crying in my bed. Please guys, how would you motivate people like this?

Speaking for myself, it really wasn't anything or anyone external that motivated me. I had comments that I was fat or big for a while and could use exercise. So uh, I dunno. Wax your car.

How do you effectively count calories?

All the shit I use to put in a normal dish has no label on it

>4 carrots of different size
>can of tomatos
>around 2 table spoons of oil to fry it
>3 medium sized onions
>splish of milk
>4 garlic gloves

eating mainly canned/premade food is super easy to track, which is ironically most of the time the most unhealthy food.

painstackingly weighing out "245,3 grams of carrots" before putting it in a dish seems horrible

Hello everyone a quick question to all y'all

I've noticed that ever since I started exercising I've gotten a lot more hungry, I mean my appetite has really increased

I don't know if it's just placebo or what but I was wondering if anyone else goes through this and how y'all combat it

It might make you feel sick in the short term, probably no long term damage. Just stay away from it for a while and don't be a dumbass again.

Eat more fiber and protein, these things help you feel fuller and are good nutrition. These kinds of foods are generally lower in calories too, so in addition to feeling fuller you will also eat far less calories relative to how full you feel.

yeah, lesson is learned. I've read through a couple articles now, and best I can do (at home) is increase vitamin C foods like leafy greens, cilantro.
Not going to eat any fish or shellfish for a good year now, as I also learned mercury stacks up in the body for up to a year before completely leaving the body.
Learned my lesson. Thanks for the reassurance though, anon. I was beginning to get a bit worried.

Get a bowl. Put it on scale. Zero the scale. Pour carrots in bowl. Record weight.

It's easy when you're not retarded.

I think I'm eating too little
I hear that people who crash diet inevitably fail, and I think I'm discovering why, even though I wouldn't call my diet a crash one
