for some reason my normal deadlift feels really awkward (hands just outside of legs) and i feel much stronger and can pull much more when i have narrow grip (hands between my legs)

anything wrong pulling like that? does this kind of style have a name?

The problem is I guarantee your deadlift is shit and you don't know how to hip hinge at all

Find a strong deadlifter to help you and start watching every video on deadlift form you can

Depends on your positioning, but it sounds like you're just deadlifting sumo.

You might be more suited to the "sumo" deadlift.

Make sure your form is right on conventional before making the switch though, because sumo deadlifting has been linked to homosexual behaviors.

my legs aren't wide, they are the same as conventional. tried sumo but it also doesn't feel very natural. basically my style is sumo grip and conventional feet positioning if that makes sense
