I was the guy who brought up this issue earlier in the week. I've started decompressing my spine with static hangs (which feel great generally actually), but how can I do this at home? Good point, I noticed the bar was aslant yesterday and I have tried symetrifying my stance (I never used a symmetric stance from the beginning). But I don't think my hips are completely fucked I think they are just differently tight on either side as a result of how I sit. I'll see how it feels on monday, I'll squat the bar and maybe do a plate just to not lose my technique entirely while I have my pause from the exercise.

What part of the back? You'd hit traps harder (and probably lats too) with a block/rack pull, but your low back would probably get hit harder with stiff leg, snatch grip, or a stiff leg and snatch grip deadlift.

The only way I've figured out is changing grip width so that the bar doesn't hit in the same spot. Then again, I'm a rank novice with olympic lifts.

This used to be a problem for me.

Ironically panzerjäger gave me a good run down of the clean hang position and I haven't had the issue since really. You're not supposed to bounce the bar off your hips or pelvis like I kept doing.

how's your bench form? if your elbows are flared, you're doing it wrong. the bar should be touching you somewhere beneath your nipples, your back should be tight, the bar won't move in a line perpendicular to the floor, elbows underneath your hands at all times, don't grip too wide, etc.
since your arms are so long, it's going to be more difficult, but you'll at least start looking stronger than you actually are.

I DO struggle with leg drive thats for sure, so need practice there, sometimes it causes my ass to fly off bench which is a nono i know.
