I need sood shoes for lifting (ie. thin soles) but ALSO for all-round usage (driving, going to the shops, etc)?
Most gym shoes I see recommended look like dogshit. I don't want to buy a pair of shoes that I will only wear to the gym. I may as well lift barefooted in that case.
I've been using pic-related (Adidas SM-II LS) for all-round usage and they've been amazing, but they're 5 years old and are starting to wear out, so I'm looking for a replacement.
Any ideas?

Just get a pair of Converse.

If you like that shoe why not just buy the same shoe?????
Also pumas.

They have thick soles which are annoying for driving. Unless you can show me some thin sole models that I'm not aware of.
Thin sole is my biggest priority.

I'm thinking about it but the new models have shoelaces which is a slight inconvenience and looks worse imo. If I can't find a better alternative in this thread then I'm going to the shops tomorrow to test out a pair to see what it's like.
My ones slip on effortlessly which is very convenient. Not the biggest issue but I'm just willing to see what alternatives there are.

Like I said puma makes drivers which is what you're looking for I assume. Had a few pairs. They're nice, but you're not getting 5 years out of them, all laces. Just Google puma driving shoes.

Funnily enough I actually have a pair of those from a ~4 years ago but I never wear them because they're not super comfortable and the hard sole made it difficult for me to feel the pedals in my car. Not sure what the newer models are like, maybe they improved them.
I'll give them a try at the gym in a couple days to see how they go, sounds like they'll work pretty well for squats/deadlifts.
