This is the correct answer. It's completely normal for a fat kid to have the nickname of "piggy" or "little fatty". In Chinese, that's "小猪" or "小胖". Women have it even worse, because of the marriage culture in a lot of the Asian countries.

If they dont live in Asia a lot of them do get fat because they're diet is open to more options. In Asia they eat what they or they're parents cook. Typically rice and fish, beef, or chicken with vegetables and a sauce made from oil.
