I hate the current state of the nba and it's fanbase. Everyone thinks this is the best period with the best players ever. James "cum catcher" harden is unironically considered one of the best players in the league when all he does is chuck and flop his way to the line. Thanks to rule changes that favor offense (to garner ratings) this is actually a viable strategy. People look at the 80s and 90s like it's the fucking 50s in terms of athletic differences to today's players despite many older players (including guys like Tim Duncan) starting in the 90s, playing against guys from the 80s, and putting up similar, if not better, numbers against current players. Lebron is said to be the goat because he made 8 straight finals in a laughably weak east and because he is such a great facilitator. All he does is travel to the paint unimpaired because looking at him draws a foul and throws it out as hard as he can to one of the 3+ 3 point specialists he has camping the arc at any given time. It's not impressive, it's not good passing, it's not great bball iq, it's just abusing the system to stat pad so you can say at least I got a triple double after you lose the finals for the 5th time. Bird had much better passing, vision, and iq but because there is no hd footage people think he'd not cut it today.
