If you are performing diddlies with a small weight, feel free to warmup with sets of 5 until you reach your goal weight and perform 1 to 3 sets with it. If your technique is shit, don't even go past 100-120kg.

Have a mate film you from the side. If your technique is shit you'll feel it in DOMS. There's a good 5 step DL setup vid by Alan Thrall that seems to cover the basics for conventional DL. I'd personally recommend checking it out.

5x5 gave me a good amount of progress. I'd say this or 3x5 depending on yourself. Either is fine desu
