Hey guys. actual boogie here. Soon as I sent that tweet I knew you guys would jump on this.

Figured I'd let you guys know whats going on before I make the video.

Basically I had a pre-op test last wednesday. My blood pressure was high as it routinely is so they ordered an EKG. after seeing those results they decided to cancel surgery to do an echo.

Did the echo on friday, got the results in today. Surgeon re-ok'd me for surgery because they said my heart is fine. No congestive heart failure, no weak valves, no problems.

They tried to get back the original date but weren't able to. They tried to get a date this week as well but weren't able to because they want to have machines on hand in case I go into cardiac arrest, and not all OR's are equipped equally.

Everything is going to plan still. I'll admit that I'm having some doubts as to whether or not this surgery is neccessary, after having lost 40 pounds in the past month by myself, but at this point the money is already spent (at least, 8000 of the 18,000) and we've put so much time and effort into it.

Plus I know from previous experience that even though I started confident I can end weak so I want to move forward with surgery as an extra added tool to make up for my weak psyche.

Anyways, to summarize
- wife and I are doing fine. I'm having a lot of fun raising my illegitimate black son.

That's what's modified about it. The pre-op diet is all about restricing fat and sugar, replacing both with protein, so that my liver can shrink and become healthy for surgery. They want me eating exclusively protein so as not to cut too deep into lean mass as I'll need it to maintain BMR post surgery.

This is something that seems to be parroted by foreigners who've never lived here because they've either heard republicans say it, or its the case with other countries with public healthcare and they just assume it is for us too.

The only thing with long wait times are really non-emergency specialists like dermatologists.

I've personally received immediate treatment for a burst appendix that sent me to the emergency room, and I've been to the emergency room on 2 other occasions accompanying friends. Both times treated immediately.

What takes more willpower? Eating less everyday or committing to no carbonated beverages for the rest of your life, no pizza for a "few years", not mixing food and beverages ever again, etc etc. I'd say the latter. So why not just eat less? I can't comprehend the thinking behind the surgery. Your life will be 100 times tougher than a diet. On a calorie restricted diet you can literally eat *anything* and lose weight if you just count calories. I eat ice cream, cookies, chips, pizza and lose weight because I only ate 1800 calories worth a day. Seems a lot easier and more straightforward. I'm down 110 from 270 and am sitting at my ideal weight in under a year. Now I maintain at 2500 calories a day and eat whatever the fuck I want. And it cost m nothing. Just diet you silly son of a bitch. Yes. It's hard but not harder than your life after surgery which sounds like it'll be a nightmare.
