Do the program, but not for too long.
A few months depending on where you start and how well you progress.
I'd say if you get to a point where you absolutely need more than 5 minutes of rest between sets, you should get off SS and do something else.

eat 200-300 above TDEE and do cardio after lifting. when you get to around 15-17% bf cut down to around 12% then bulk again. using this method you can literally bulk for entire year before you have to cut. you also look good year round.

people underestimate cardio importance when bulking. when done properly fat gain is really low and most of your weight gain will be muscle.
