/fit/ and Anti-psyche Meds

after a long spell of inactivity I got back into lifting on sertraline, an SSRI. the only sides I noticed were somewhat increased appetite and decreased libido. insomnia the first week but that passed quickly. don't think it affected much else in terms of lifting progress.

this isn't a noggin one, but I started methamizole some months ago, a pill for hyperthyroidism. I threw on 20 pounds in about 4 months, probably 5 lean and 15 fat. currently kicking myself for "DUDE DIRTY BULKIN LMAO" as my metabolism was fixing itself, because I easily could have made that into 10 lean pounds on account of TDEE dropping off a cliff due to thyroid compound production falling.

My folks put me on anti psychotics when I was a teenager. I don't think they realized I was just an angry pent up teenager. It completely killed my desire to do anything physical though.

on a 10 day course of prednisone im not sure theres any point in lifting while on it due to the massive repartitioning of macros and a failure to heal from injury so im eating high protein, high carbs and low fat while treating it as a cut and doing cardio each day

this fuckin sucks but its only 10 days and i can use the time to buy some prohormones to boost myself back up and over

I've been on Clozapine for about 2 years now. I notice somewhat of the same side effects. Huge increase im appetite when I take the medicine at night.

Weight gain is also a big issue people have with clozapine. If I didn't lift and do cardio I would for sure be overweight. The hunger man. Makes you want to binge

Voxra & an SSRI, can't say it has any effect on lifting though. Way better than the negatives depression brings. As for side effects the only thing i've experienced is feeling worse & nauseated the first few weeks

I was on anti-anxiety and depression meds for 20~ years. The sexual side effects were awful. I had zero sex drive, felt pretty much asexual, and it would take hours to cum from masturbation.

I haven't taken anything for three years now and feel much better, so long as I keep exercising. If I stop, I start getting real sad again.
