How can I make teeth gains? Redpill me
I'm on my set 2 of my invisaligns, only 8.5months to go! I'll post before and afters when I get to the end.
I haven't had many issues with them, just painful after the first day of a new set, in that it makes me wince and I have to prepare myself to take them out.
Something I've wanted to do for a long time, and I think it was better I did it now as my teeth had shifted after my wisdoms came through.

Things my mom never taught me:
The enamel is eroded by acid from foods, drinks, and acid-producing bacteria in your mouth (which feed on carbohydrates).
Rise your mouth with water frequently, especially after drinking coffee or pop or anything acidic. The water will neutralize the acids.
If you have a problem with acidic saliva drink some baking soda. Apparently sodium bicarbonate has some positive effect on athletic performance though it's been a while since I read it.
Vitamin C is very important for your gums. You can kill two birds with one stone by mixing vitamin c with sodium bicarbonate to get sodium ascorbate which is highly bio-available.
Waterpik's are god-tier and essentially a substitute for flossing. Highly recommend you get one. If you get braces you will need one.

Did you keep up with wearing a retainer at night so your teeth don't shift back? I've accepted that I week need one for the rest of my life, I'm a T1 diabetic so there's already daily shit I need to do for my life duration so another thing doesn't bother me.

there are permanent retainers that help, they glue it behind your teeth. They make it so you don't have to think about wearing them, but you just have to make sure you clean it obviously so no skipping brushing teeth. My teeth moved regardless cause of wisdom teeth, and i just gave up on retainer
it's mostly the bottom row tho, still feels bad
I use Dr. Bronners toothpaste with some added in baking soda. It works great. Remember to floss or water pik and always scrub your tongue.

Hijacking to ask, is there a god-tier toothbrush we should be using. I know all about electric ones but is there a specific type of regular one we should use too?

Use anything with soft bristles. Combine with a waterpik and you're golden

do they make you talk with a lisp at all? Thats the only thing keeping me from getting them since I have to speak alot at work.
