I never have coffee.

I've also been made fun of by other people for not being a coffee drinker.

I'm 30 and people seem to get almost offended if I refuse a coffee, call me a baby, or child, and that every adult drinks coffee, what kind of adult doesn't drink coffee?

Fucking cunts fuck off with your coffee.

No idea, I prefer hot tea. It gives you a buzz but it's not as overpowering as coffee, and it doesnt end in a crash like coffee does. Plus tea actually has health benefits depending on what you drink. I like green tea, oolong, earl grey...
>>
>>42233590
I'd drink tea if it weren't for the horrbile Fluoride.

No idea. I imagine it's like a cigratte kind of deal.
I used to wake up at 6am, make a cup of coffee and sit outside on my porch drinking it and relaxing for about 20minutes before starting anything else that day.

It was a great way to unwind.

I cut that shit out and replaced it with water. Water for fucking everything. I hate water unless it's during or after a workout.

I still think about how calming it was to wake up with that simple cup of coffee in the morning. But again, I imagine it's similar to a cig for some folks.

>adrenal fatigue
Meme.
>brainfog
>Make you dumber
Associated with decreased risk of dementia.
>dehydration
Coffee does not have a net dehydrating effect. Another meme. Coffee drinkers are not more dehydrated than non coffee drinkers. This has been studied.
>smelly breath
True for some people. Usually not a problem if you drink lots of water. Or just give a quick brush.
>high blood pressure
Does transiently increase your bp a bit, but doesn't cause hypertension. In fact: " Prospective studies suggest a protective effect of high coffee intake (4 or more cups per day) against hypertension, mainly in women."

Coffee is overall pretty good for you. Decreased risk of liver disease as well.

Coffee has consistently been linked to improved health in clinical studies for decades.

>improved liver health, reduced liver cancer risk
>improved prostate health, reduced prostate cancer risk and survivability
>improved cardiovascular health, reduced risk of heart disease and stroke
>improved insulin sensitivity, reduced risk of diabetes
>improved brain health, reduced risk of alzheimer's
>coffee consumption is inversely correlated with all-cause mortality

The benefits are not attributed to caffeine, but rather the complex cocktail of polyphenols in coffee.

Coffee is good. Google it if you don't believe me.

I work night shifts and for me coffee is necessary.

I'm on my first nightshift tonight after 4 days off; 6pm - 6am. I woke up at 11am and I went to the gym at 3pm and did some really intense HIIT cardio for an hour. I then visited my girlfriend for an hour and went to work.

Staying awake until 6am without coffee isn't something I could do tonight; but coffee will help me. And tomorrow I'll wake up and drink a coffee to perk me up; and I'll go the gym straight away and work out hard again before work.

tl;dr without coffee I wouldn't be able to fit everything into my life.
>>
>>42233850
>lol coffee reduces risk of cancer because we think this specific cancer is linked to this

Show me a study that isnt hearsay and I will agree with you. One study doesn't prove shit and most can't be replicated. I'm sure you have no problem agreeing with it because you drink coffee therefore its good for you.
>>

At a basic level, compare the cause of death and average life span of the study population against a control population that doesn't do whatever you're interested in. Collect this data over many years with many people.

It's how we know cigarettes are bad and hypertension tends to lead to heart disease...

Doesn't actually exist, it's a myth perpetuated mostly by fitness forums like this. Don't believe me? Google it. It is not a medical diagnosis.

> Dehydration.

Wives tale. Average coffee is like ~ 100mg of caffeine in 250-300 mL of water. The diuretic effect of caffeine is offset by the fluid intake.

I agree that coffee in the morning being used as a substitute for proper sleeping habits and a healthy circadian rhythm is wrong and should not be this prevalent.

With that said, as a translator that has to constantly pore over mind-numbingly boring material for hours on end every day, I sometimes drink a cup of espresso at around 4-5pm with a biscuit or a small croissant.
The little boost keeps me going, and it makes for a comfy break after you've had to translate endless diverce papers and a 200 pages anthology of tentacle porn.

no it doesn't rot your teeth but it makes it white, because all the crap gets to sit on your teeth, you're fine if you brush after. Same with the smell, if you brush after your coffee you're good.
>You don't become dependent on caffeine unless you consume it is large quantities daily.
yes and no, as someone who bounces from 1l of energy drinks to mere 1 coffee a day i can say that caffeine addiction is a serious problem, it has close to none side effects but the adjustment period without it is hard cus you're sleepy at midday.

In the evenings I usually let the water boil then I let the tea sit for like 10 minutes to cool down. I always felt that I got the true flavor of the tea out that way. But in the morning I just heat it up enough so I can pound it before going to work without hurting myself.

The only thing that worries me about the health effects of drinking coffee is that it seems like some people absolutely develop a dependency on it, like they need it to function every day. I like coffee but because I'm worried about that and how acidic it is I try not to drink it every day, at most I do every other day
