ANyone here get nasal polyps before? Appearantl I have them, going on four months now. I can't smell or taste anything. Looks like I need surgery.
I've got nasal polyps, just use qnasal from time to time. Burns like a bitch but works well.

actually had never heard of this. is it OTC?

it might be. it's an inhaler-type thing. so you can't just waltz in and grab some. I don't think it's prescription-based though. No clue if it's only in burgerland or what.
But it's helped me out a lot.

>have mild cold and blocked nose 24/7 for past 2 years
>always have yellow/ green snot which I thought was normal
>get it checked up and turns out I have a nasal polyp blocking my sinus
>viral infection was building up in my sinus over the past two years
>use sinus cleaning bottle and solution
>all the infection from past 2 years flushes out over the course of one week- snot is brown and smells absolutely fucking horrendous
Getting it removed next month hopefully, along with a nose job because why the fuck not. Also there's a few different types of surgery, some of them destroy polyps permanently whereas in others they can grow back, so make sure to get the former anon.

I have been flushing my sinus since the beginning, so hopefully I don't have such a build up.
Also, you went 2 years before seeing a doctor???
Do you know the names of the different surgeris?
ALl I know is now I am scheduled to have the endoscopic surgery where they 'remove' them, I guess.

HOw is your sense of taste and smell?
Smell I have almost none
Taste just a tiny tiny bit.
Occasionally, both senses will come back randomly for some period of time (I guess because the polyps get less inflamed for whatever reason). Excercise helps too. I will sometimes go for a walk or jog and let the senses come back and then eat, but I can't do that for every meal, obviously.
