I really like the way this guy is built actually...
I'm 27 soon to turn 28 ,186cm / 6'1 and am really skelly 61kg / 135 pounds...how long would it more or less realistically take me to look somewhat somewhat like this guy after transformation? I was a forever lurker only browsing and looking at how bodybuilding works but never put effort to lift anything. I would like to change the feelsbadman I have now...From my perspective I have an okay boneframe and am just literally starved to so skinny cos I don't eat.I'm honestly looking for advice.I will try to better my bad eating habits so I can set a goal in the future to strive for

Start lifting, and you will be motivated to start eating so as to be able to make the gains from the lifting. Eat a whole fucking jar of peanut butter every day.

It may take a while, and even possibly a few cycles to get to the stage the gook is at in the after pic. But it will not take very long at all for you to make a massive improvement to your aesthetics and health, and your brain/mood generally.

The last pic is about two months old but I just bench maxed 330 lbs today and it feels pretty good despite still being a weak lift. Kinda stuck if I should bulk or cut now, but at least I am no longer aushwitz or chubbyfat mode and can say I'm skinnyfat which is an upgrade for me.

In all seriousness, /fit/, how do i achieve Star Platinum swole? I don't mind how long it takes.
I know very well I won't magically grow 5 inches, I'm only interested in the gains.

21y/o, 5'11". Last I checked, a little over 80kg and BMI25. No allergies. Occasional heart pains.

For what it's worth, I do have quite broad shoulders, and a Mesomorph body. Although i'm quite lazy about cooking, so i've got a little gut.

Although if it came to it, i'm ready to take cooking seriously and exclude anything necessary from my diet.

Breakfast is nothing, lunch is either 500g greek yogurt or a cheese and shredded chicken quesadilla, and dinner is whatever I need to hit 150g protein for the day at 2000 cals. Typically this will be a chicken thigh stirfry, but I'll also have a steak and beans or a burger and protein shake.

Routine is the LEAST important aspect of fitness
In order:
Food
Recovery (meaning sleep and time between working muscle groups... ie don't work chest 3 days in a row)
Intensity
THEN routine... honestly it's a non issue. Just lift weights in a manner that allows for progress / progressive overload. 3x5, 3x10, 4x12... it doesn't fucking matter as long as you're adding weight or reps every week or two. When you get a decent base (90% of you never will even reach that point) THEN you can worry about a more specific routine to fix your lagging spots

To add to this:
I often see beginners being advised to lift in 3x5 or 5x5 rep ranges. That is horseshit. Beginners should do 3 sets of 10-12 reps. The reason for this is that as a beginner your form is shit. If you are doing a weight you can only do 5 times; you're likely to fuck up form super bad on the last 1-2 reps. If you're doing 10 reps of a lighter weight, you'll be much more likely to complete 7-8 reps with good form and then maybe 1-2 with "bad" form (ass off the bench, swinging hips to curl etc) which is just fine since you've already done a decent number of good form reps. After a few months of 3x10 you can go to 3x5 or 5x5. Form is so fucking important man, it can't be said enough. I've been lifting since I was 16 (I'm 21 now) and I JUST RECENTLY fixed my bench form to be nearly perfect and added 30 pounds to my max in a very short time (265 to 295).

Picture on the far left is what I have achieved after two months of working out with the USMC. I'm so happy that I've come so far and proud of myself.

Whenever I feel like I'm about to quit, I just think about 2013 and how bad my self esteem was in High School from being so unhealthily skinny. I'm so glad to see how far I've come. And excited to see how far I can go.

Super clean and no bullshit. Chicken breast, sweet potatoes oats eggs, truck loads of vegetables etc. did 16/8 intermittent fasting so that helps with the low calories. Tons of water as well.

I've been trying to figure this out for ages (whether these actually exist or not):

Building home gym, already have interlocking floor pads, but is there such a thing as protective cushions to put directly under each plate for deadlifts?

Really need added protection. I'm thinking a 2inch thick cushion with a dip in the middle to leave it resting in.

I just kinda tried different things until I found what worked best for me. One thing was consistent, which was I devoted 4 days of the week to cutting, and 3 to clean bulking. There was a period of time where I was only able to hit the gym like twice a week so I changed the days out. On cutting days I would keep my calorie intake under 1500 a day. On the bulk days I would eat 2500, which mainly came from protein smoothies and grocery meats.

I still tried to get a lot of protein in on cutting days, so protein bars gave me that when I wasn't eating an actual meal. As for the meals, instant (or homemade) miso soup with various things thrown in was a go-to since it fills you the fuck up and I love it. I would typically fast till the evening (hold for the protein bars) then proceed to eat whatever it was. As long as the meal is low-carb and high protein I would fucking eat it. That includes making salads at home with grilled chicken and some other creative things as well.
