What is /fit/'s opinion of this man?

unworthy of trips

He's alright
Given that he's a natty GDE who doesn't really try as hard as he should he's probably the best person to take advice from programming wise.
I'm not joking, you don't want to take lifting advice from people who are naturally talented, take if from the people who really don't have that much going for them genetically. Such as Alan.
Possibly the largest Cringemaster of the last ten years
Pretty good guy. Video production quality is about what you'd expect from a guy who is focused on lifting first and YouTube second.
Spotted him in the background in a few StartingStrength videos on their channel, so at least you know he's giving out good advice.

The best coaches are often the people with average genetics that don't end up being wildly successful in their sport, but do figure out what works best improvement wise.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
He's the first youtuber giving out fitness advice that will make a video like "woops, this new information proves that previous advice I've given was complete bullshit, here's the new information" and I like that.
He's pretty dope but I have mixed feelings about him ever since he sold his soul so Rippetoe
That he hasn't uploaded a video in like two months doesn't help either

like SL 5x5 dude?

Similar opinion as others, he's a solid font of information for the majority of the population. Beard and hair are pretty ugly but I seem to remember him saying he has them because in the marines he couldn't, he knows it doesn't look good but likes the ability to choose so ok from my perspective.
As another anon has said he also will correct himself as he learns, prime example being his stance change from YOU MUST ATG EVERY SQUAT to parallel is fine. Overall solid info for anyone who isn't elite, but the time you reach that level I'm guessing generic advice is never applicable so no youtuber will be needed. But honestly the number of people on /fit who are anything above intermediate are so small, for this board he is top tier
If you want other top advice check out Jeff Nippard, extremely scientific in his approach, more about arming you with information to use for yourself that Thrall's generic info/follow this without much explanation why style

is GDE genetic dead end or gives disappointing effort?
>>42206777
I like his deadlift setup video, really helped me out
>ugly
>fat
>shit physique
>shit lifts
>>42206933
Opposite for me. Can't really trust him anymore
>>42207023
Do you mean the one where he copied Rippletoes setup or the ones he put up a few weeks before that?

Proof that this is Alan pls. That's hilarious.
