Flexibility is key to reducing and shortening injuries. Yoga is great for that. I do gym MWF and on that wobble/2 days off dat/sun do yoga

I use to scoff at it, but I finally decided to set disregard my self consciousness over it, and gave it a go. It has been a fantastic addition to my exercise, I perform at least 10 minutes after each workout.
It works wonders on recovery. If you are just an average dude who wants to get swole, then I'd say it's not required, but it's a must if you are into any sports and whatnot.
