Trying to figure out some better workouts for my leg day
I like squats for strength purposes, but loading up the bar with my 8-12 rep max and banging out 4 sets is way to tiring to complete before the rest of my leg workout
any suggestions for different leg exercises that would be good for pure mass?
or any ideas for better rep range for squats when looking for mass?

Do 3x5 for strength purposes and then 3-4x8-12 on leg press, leg extension, leg curl, etc

just do leg press, it's exactly what you're looking for. It's faster to set up if it's a machine with a pin to select the weight, it's less tiring since there's less whole-body work, plus it's slightly better for quad hypertrophy
