Ive been thinking a lot lately about me having children in the future. I did some google searches and all I can find are tips on how to raise a healthy child. Im wondering what I can do now at my age (22) to get a years head start on making sure I pass down healthy genes to my future children.
I read that children whose parents are of distant genetic relation tend to be taller, smarter, and healthier. So maybe ill try and find a mother for my children that is of distant genetic relation.
I am currently a daily smoker and I plan on quitting soon. But what else can I do to prepare for having children say, in 5-6 years? Exercise? Healthy diet? Anyone have any information on this?

get a wife?
Quit smoking and get fit sounds great.
You will never be ready to have kids and when you do have them you'll become a fat blob anyway so start dreaming now.
